Konstantina Giannakopoulou is a graduate of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics of the Technical Institiution of Thessaloniki and holds a Master’s degree in Food Science from the University of Reading, UK.
She took part in a British study by the Hugh Sinclair Unit of the Human Nutrition Research Unit on Beneforté Broccoli, a variety of broccoli that contains high levels of the antioxidant glucoraphanine, studying its effect on blood lipids.
She has many years of experience as a Dietitian-Nutritionist in weight management and obesity, providing nutritional advice and personalized diets.
She has worked as a responsible nutritionist in a store of organic products and nutritional supplements, providing advice mainly to people with pathological conditions. She also participates in program activities aimed at informing, evaluating body composition and recording the eating habits of students in various parts of Greece.
Since October 2017, she has been teaching at DIEKtis Athens, in the specialties of Nutrition and Dietetics, Food Technology, Confectionery and Culinary Arts. Since October 2019, she has been teaching at the AegeanCollege in the Applied Dietetics (BSc) program.
In 2017, she obtained the Certificate of Pedagogical and Didactic Competence of ASPAITE in Athens, while she is a certified adult educator by the National Organization for the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Guidance.
